PostHeaderIcon Five Great Extra Features to Add to Your Car

There are so many different extra features that you can add to your car. Some improve the safety of your vehicle and others help increase your enjoyment. For some people their car is just a method of getting from one place to another, but for others their car is a part of their identity and they want it to be as good as they can afford it to be. Depending on who you are and what you like will influence what you may want to add to your car. For a busy mum a reversing camera is a good idea, as she always has a car load of kids and a lot on her mind, and a camera helps improve the safety. For an eighteen year old it is usually all about having the best stereo system money can buy.

Rear cameras

Having a rear camera installed in your car is a good idea and is a great safety feature. They are quick and easy to install and a technician can come out to your home or your workplace to fit it for you. It is also not as expensive as you might first think, and if saves you from backing into things then you are already saved yourself a lot of money. They are also a good idea to have if you have small children. There have sadly been many instances where young children are badly injured and even killed by their parents backing out of their driveways who are unable to see a small child behind their car. Avoid this terrible tragedy by having a rear camera installed.

Remote Key-less entry

Most new cars today have remote key-less entry but if you don’t have a remote system it is a handy feature to add to your car. As well as the convenience it is also a great safety feature. If you need to get into your car in a hurry you don’t need to fiddle around with your keys finding the right one. You simply have to press the button to unlock your doors. Most key-less remotes also have a panic button, which when pressed will cause the lights to flash and the horn to go off.

Rear seat DVD player

Some new cars come fitted with DVD players in the drivers and front passenger seat’s head rests, or in the centre of the car. You can have DVD players fitted and they are great if you have children and take lots of long car trips.

Stereo system

All new cars will come with a CD player, but you can install six-stacker CD player systems in your car and have special car speakers. If you really enjoy your music while driving and spend a lot of time in the car having a CD player is great to relieve the boredom. Having a CD player that holds multiple CDs is a lot safer too, as you don’t have to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes of the road to fumble around looking for a new CD.

GPS navigation system

A Global Positioning Satellite system can help you pinpoint exactly where you are. You can program into the system where you want to go and it will tell you how to get there. You can refer to the small video screen or have spoken instructions tell you how to get there.
